The full cost of the program is $10,000. This cost includes program-provided housing, food, and transportation for the full 4 and a half months of programming. We are here to have open and caring conversations with you and are strongly committed to resourcing you in order to make Achvat Amim a reality. Tuition costs for you as a participant can be offset with the help of a wide variety of scholarships and grants - and we'll help you find that support. We will connect you to fundraising resources and our wider network. We also make scholarships available directly through Achvat Amim. This means that you can be living in a major city for a relatively low cost on a program which provides food, lodging, program transportation, insurance, trips throughout the country, guides, teachers, mentors and language teachers, while providing essential support to grassroots organizations that rely on your solidarity and volunteer work. The true cost of Achvat Amim is $14,000 per participant. Achvat Amim has been on an ongoing journey to better resource itself and our participants, and we are happy to talk about this process during the application process. We are committed learners, teachers, activists and organizers just like you, and we are actively working to put together a seriously solid experience while keeping costs as low as possible.
Getting You Scholarships and Grants
Maybe you have student loans, credit cards to pay off or other expenses? We know that an experience like this can seem out of reach, which is why we work with you to help ensure that money is not an obstacle to your participation. By seeking out funding from various sources and supporting each participant in identifying funding that works for them, we make sure this an accessible and affordable experience for all.
Achvat Amim is able to provide scholarships thanks to the generous support of the Achvat Amim community. Achvat Amim scholarships can range from $500-$2000.
We have a long history of success in coaching participants through reaching out to their communities and beyond. As well, we've compiled an extensive list of foundations and scholarships. We'll discuss this further during the application process. There is plenty of financial support out there and we are experienced in helping participants raise funds and find scholarships to join Achvat Amim. We will help you write letters, find contacts, and make this happen.
When and How Do I Pay?
The $500 (USD) deposit is due upon receiving your letter of acceptance. This deposit ensures that you have a spot in the program. The rest of the program tuition is due 6 weeks prior to the start date of your cohort. We will go over all of the above - including scholarships, fundraising, and the rest - during the application process, at which point we cover payment methods and other steps forward.
